($162,787) in funding round which is led by Affiliate Marketing Company 3.14 Digital. Their starting plan is to use the funding raised to build technology and content. Also as per them, the funds will be utilized in enhancing the technology, operations and for marketing, as told by Sahil Chalana, founder of Collegedunia to Techcircle.in.
While talking about aspects of Education Classifieds, Sahil Chalana Founder of Collegedunia, said “The overall Spends on Education in the Digital Marketing space exceed 500 Crore and growing at more than 30% YoY. The firm already stated NIIT Ltd, Educomp, Hughes Education, Symbiosis University, Sikkim Manipal University, and IMT Ghaziabad as its clients and was sounding very sure on it. Moreover 3.14 Digital has also said that it will incubate the company as well in it.
Well, it can be already known from its website that, though founded in May 2014, Collegedunia offers information about 700 colleges across the country and their information ranges from admission criteria and fee structure, faculty details to hostel fee. Moreover, it is been known that the company is also planning to add data on 7,000 to 8,000 colleges in six months. And in future, the website will also try to list coaching institutes, and entrance exams details.
Till now, the website has 30 employees across content, technology, call centre and sales departments and they plan to hire 40 more in the next six months. They claim to be attracting one lakh visitors per month and are hoping to increase it to millions in coming days.
